KORE (MAIDEN) BLESSING CANDLE

Kore translates to “Daughter” in Greek and it comes from one of the most significant stories in Greek mythology relating to Persephone, Goddess of Spring and Queen of the Underworld. Persephone, daughter of Demeter, Goddess of the harvest, and their relationship was very close. It is said that she spends six months in the underworld as six months in the mortal world, bringing life back. This story is also linked to the the zodiac constellation “Virgo” which holds the symbol of the maiden which can be seen at the beginning of Spring.

This candle was inspired by the opening of Spring where we started to come out of COVID winter lockdown where we were even more grateful of the sunshine and blossoming flowers. Wishes of gentle new beginnings, hope and better times.

Topped with Rose Quartz, Aventrine and Amethyst crystals and infused with Black Orchid & Ginger fragrance. As you light this candle, fill your heart with light, take a deep breath and release imagining your life starting to gently flow.

Once candle is finished, crystals tend to be charged and can be wiped clean with a cloth and kept for future use. Empty jar can also be used for other purposes/decor.

Rose Quartz - Unconditional love, healing, calming, soothing, harmony and rejuvenation. Encourages self-love and acceptance. Related to the heart chakra.

Aventrine - Sense of serenity, Heart-healer stone, personal growth & positive relationship. Associated with Spring & Summer. A sacred stone that acts as a reminder between the connection of your lower 3 chakras connected to Mother Earth and the upper 3 chakras connected to the spirit world.

Amethyst crystal - calming the mind, high spiritual vibration, passion, calmness, healing and cleansing

Safety warning: never leave candle unattended and out of reach of children and pets. Place candle on a stable and heat resistant surface away from drafts when lite. Keep wick trimmed to approx 6mm. Upon first time use, allow candle to burn wax evenly across the jar to create a smooth look and better scent throw. Do no burn more than 4 hours at a time.
